SEWDA Intensifies Monitoring of Key Development Projects

The Sene West District Assembly has stepped up efforts to ensure that ongoing development projects are completed on time and to the required standards. Recently, the Assembly carried out a monitoring tour across several project sites in the district.

The exercise was led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Khaari Fuseni and supported by a team from key departments to closely assess the progress and quality of work being done. The team examined construction standards, safety measures, and environmental considerations to ensure nothing was overlooked.

Projects Visited

The monitoring team inspected a number of important projects aimed at improving education, healthcare, and administrative services:

  • Gyasipo: A new 3-unit classroom block to improve learning conditions for pupils.
  • Dada Bernyarko: Another 3-unit classroom block under construction to curb schools under trees.
  • Mempasem: A CHPS Compound project to strengthen access to basic healthcare.
  • Kwame Danso: Ongoing renovation of the DCE’s Bungalow to keep official facilities in good condition.

Working Together for Quality Delivery

Officers from Education, Health, Planning, Procurement, Environment, Administration, and the Works Department took part in the exercise, highlighting the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and quality delivery.

Speaking during the visit, the DCE emphasized the Assembly’s resolve to ensure that public funds are used wisely and that all projects meet the agreed standards and timelines.

The exercise ended with a feedback session with contractors, where concerns were discussed and clear timelines were given to address any issues identified.
