The Sene West District Assembly has officially inaugurated the Kyeamekrom Area Council, taking another important step toward strengthening local governance and deepening grassroots participation in development.
The ceremony was led by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Braimah Sakuru, and brought together Assembly Members, traditional authorities, heads of departments, and community members. In his address, Mr. Sakuru emphasized that Area Councils play a crucial role in ensuring that development reaches every community and that local concerns are heard and addressed promptly.
He encouraged members of the newly inaugurated council to work with unity, transparency, and commitment to serve the best interests of the people. He further noted that the Kyeamekrom Area Council will act as a strong link between the District Assembly and the communities it serves, helping to mobilize support for development initiatives and ensure effective implementation of government programs.



Council members were reminded of their key responsibilities, including promoting sanitation and environmental cleanliness, supporting revenue mobilization, engaging communities in decision-making, and fostering peace and cooperation within the area.
Community members present expressed confidence that the establishment of the Area Council would help accelerate development and improve coordination in addressing local challenges.
