SEWDA INAUGURATES KWAME DANSO AREA COUNCIL

The Sene West District Assembly has officially inaugurated the Kwame Danso Area Council, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening local governance and bringing development closer to the people.

The ceremony was led by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Braimah Sakuru, and was attended by Assembly Members, heads of departments, unit committee members and community representatives. In his remarks, Mr. Sakuru emphasized the vital role Area Councils play in grassroots development and encouraged members to carry out their duties with dedication, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility.

He noted that the Kwame Danso Area Council will serve as an important bridge between the District Assembly and the local communities, helping to identify pressing needs, mobilize community support, and ensure that government policies and development programs are effectively implemented at the local level.

Members of the newly inaugurated council were reminded of their key responsibilities, including promoting sanitation, supporting revenue mobilization, encouraging community participation, and maintaining peace and unity within the area.

Community members expressed optimism that the inauguration of the Area Council would accelerate development and improve coordination in addressing local challenges.
