Sene West District Assembly Presents To The District Education Directorate With 750 Dual Desks.

On the 2nd of September at Sene West District Assembly in Bono East Region,  750 dual desks were handed to the Education Directorate to be distributed to selected schools who were in desperate need of furniture to improve teaching and learning as  results of achieving sustainable development goals (SDG) 4; Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning opportunities for all for children.

In presenting the furniture, Hon. John K. Nyarba, Sene West District Chief Executive (DCE), praised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his role in bolstering the country’s educational systems, saying the President’s social empowerment policies required the country’s human resource to be empowered to deliver.

Hon. Nyarba requested that the Directorate guarantees that the desks will be delivered to the appropriate schools and they would be used as planned.

Issac K. Amankwah, Sene West District Director of Education, who received the furniture, said it was provided at the perfect moment to help solve an issue where certain schools were in desperate need. He stated that his office would guarantee that all schools would adopt a maintenance culture in order to maintain the desks and monitoring in schools would be increased to promote teaching and learning.

In attendance were some of the staff of Sene West District Assembly and Ghana Education Service.

  1. I want to believe that the manufacturing and capentry works were done by our own craftspersons. If so, a plus for the assembly. If the reverse, a minus and disappointment on the part of the leadership. We need to boost the business venture of our own people. I’m not interested in who the contractor was, I’m only interested in what the local industry will benefit in the contract.
Maybe next time you should focus the attention on that
