Sene West District Assembly Budget Committee Conducts Mid-Year Budget Review for 2024

On 7 August 2024, the Sene West District Assembly’s Budget Committee convened for a pivotal mid-year budget review, aimed at evaluating the district’s financial performance for the first half of the fiscal year. The meeting provided an opportunity for committee members to assess the progress of budget implementation, analyze expenditure patterns, and review revenue collection efforts up to June 2024. This assessment is part of the Assembly’s commitment to transparent financial management and adaptive planning.

The overall expenditure performance stood at 37.5% whilst revenue received was 40.34% of the yearly target. Based on this performance, the committee discussed plans to achieve the target by end of year and also informs the projections for the ensuing year.

The mid-year budget review not only provided insights into the financial standing of the district but also allowed the committee to make necessary adjustments to budget allocations and prioritize projects based on immediate needs and available funds. The meeting concluded with a renewed focus on improving expenditure efficiency and maximizing revenue collection in the remaining months of 2024.
