As part of its commitment to digitalizing operations, the Sene West District Assembly held a comprehensive training session on August 13, 2024, focusing on the Smart Workplace Platform. The session was conducted in collaboration with eSolutions Consulting and the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) and brought together department and unit heads to prepare them for the platform’s implementation.
The Smart Workplace Platform, an all-in-one communication, collaboration, and business automation tool built on Microsoft Office 365, is set to revolutionize the Assembly’s daily operations. The platform provides staff with a single access point to essential resources such as email, calendar, and Microsoft Teams for video conferencing, aiming to increase efficiency across all departments.
Held at the District Assembly Conference Room, the session covered essential aspects of the platform, including memo creation, IT helpdesk utilization, correspondence management, and collaboration through shared files. It also introduced the circular section for centralized communication of notices and a range of advanced features to streamline task management and scheduling.
The training emphasized hands-on learning, with participants practicing real-time collaboration using shared documents and familiarizing themselves with permissions and security settings to safeguard sensitive information.
This strategic initiative aligns with the Assembly’s broader goals of enhancing productivity through digital solutions.
