The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sene West District, Hon. Khaari Fuseini, has officially handed over the site and performed the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 24-hour economy market in the district.
The project forms part of a broader presidential initiative aimed at promoting a 24-hour economy to stimulate local economic growth, create jobs, and enhance business opportunities across the country.
Leading the ceremony, Hon. Khaari Fuseini demonstrated the district’s commitment to the initiative by spearheading the commencement of the project. He noted that the construction of the market will provide a conducive environment for traders and entrepreneurs to operate beyond traditional working hours, thereby increasing productivity and improving livelihoods.
According to the DCE, the project is expected to transform commercial activities within the district by creating a modern marketplace that supports continuous economic activity. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with government efforts to strengthen local economies and empower communities through sustainable infrastructure development.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including traditional authorities, assembly members, and officials of the district assembly, who expressed optimism about the impact of the project on the local economy.
