The Department of agriculture, Sene West District, engaged in SAWAH Technology Demonstration with Kyeamekrom Women Rice Farmers Association.
Sawah Technology is a Technology for planting of lowland rice in a properly prepared soil bond to contain water for the planting of rice seedlings. It was introduced into the District by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) – Soil Research Institute (SRI).
The Technology helps to manage weeds problem, control water needed by the rice and make efficient use of fertilizer applied.
