MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL – DCE Welcome New Pupils to School

The atmosphere across several basic schools in the Sene West District was filled with excitement and hope as the District Assembly marked this year’s “My First Day at School” initiative.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) – Hon. Khaari Fuseini, together with the District Director of Education – Bawa Seidu Iddrisu and other staff from the Assembly and Education Directorate, visited selected schools to warmly welcome new entrants beginning their academic journey.

The team interacted with pupils, encouraged parents, and motivated teachers to continue nurturing young minds with dedication and care. The DCE expressed joy at seeing the children confidently stepping into a new phase of their lives and assured them of the Assembly’s continued support in improving educational infrastructure and learning conditions in the district.

The District Director of Education also encouraged the pupils to be attentive, respectful, and committed to their studies, reminding them that education is the foundation for a brighter future.

The visit formed part of a nationwide effort to create a friendly and supportive environment for children entering school for the first time. Smiles, words of encouragement, and a welcoming atmosphere made the day memorable for the young learners.

The Sene West District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to promoting quality education and ensuring that every child in the district has access to a safe and supportive learning environment.
