Ministry of Finance Conducts Composite Budget Monitoring for Sene West District Assembly

On 16 May 2024, officials from the Ministry of Finance, alongside the Bono East Regional Budget Analyst, conducted an in-depth Composite Budget Monitoring exercise to assess the performance of the Sene West District Assembly’s 2023 composite budget. This collaborative review was designed to evaluate the efficiency of budget implementation, identify strengths, and address areas needing improvement in the district’s financial management practices. This exercise aimed at providing guidance for the assembly in its budget implementation.

The monitoring session involved a comprehensive analysis of each sector’s performance, focusing on key indicators of budget execution. The assessment revealed significant strengths, including efficient allocation of resources to priority sectors like the local authorities(area councils), healthcare, education, and infrastructure, reflecting the Assembly’s strategic approach to community development.

This monitoring session marks a critical step toward enhancing the district’s budgetary practices, with insights from the Ministry of Finance and the Regional Budget Analyst expected to guide the Assembly in refining its approach to resource allocation and project planning. The Sene West District Assembly remains committed to achieving financial accountability and ensuring that budget resources directly benefit the community.
