ECOZOIL takes clean up exercise of river bodies as their core mandate. Sene West District in the Bono East region on 19th August, 2022 inaugurated the said group of people who were recruited by Zoomlion Ghana Limited through the District Assembly. With regards to the above initiative, twenty people were recruited and trained by the Ghana Armed Forces (NAVY) to ensure good sanitation at the banks of the Volta River, plays rescue role, control over loading of passengers in a canoe or a boat.
Mr. Paul Evans Nyarko the district director for C N C welcomed all participant to the meeting. He apologized for the delay of the meeting. Subsequently, he indicated that, the main motive for organizing the meeting was to inaugurate and hand over logistics to the officers to discharge their duties effectively.
Hon. John Nyarba the District Chief Executive on his presentation once again welcomed all participants to the meeting. He thanked them for making time out of their busy schedules to attend the meeting. He then briefed and highlighted some of their duties yet to be discharged at the river bodies. The Hon. D C E added that, permanent recruitment would be done by Ghana Armed Forces but then the selection would be done based on attitude to work and finally educational background. He therefore appealed and entreated all and sundry to work diligently to attain the main objectives of the initiative and for the betterment of the country at large.
Mr. Braimah Sakuru, the District Co-ordinating Director was officially introduced to the participants. He then took to his turn and gave out his keynote of advice to participants to handle the logistics with care. He further cautioned them to use the logistics for it intended purposes and work assiduously to achieve the goals and objectives of the ECOZOIL. He lastly wished them well in their operations and implored them on risk management in the course of discharging their duties.
Mr. Paul Evans Nyarko on behalf of the participants expressed his profound gratitude to Hon. DCE and management of the Sene West District Assembly for the support and assistance for making the inaugural meeting successful. The meeting was brought to an end at 2:35pm with a prayer from Hakeem Abukasim.
