Sene West District came alive with action and unity as residents joined hands to observe the National Sanitation Day through a district-wide clean-up exercise.
From the early hours of the morning, the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Khaari Fuseini, Assembly staff, Assembly Members, traditional leaders, market women, youth groups, and other stakeholders rolled up their sleeves to help restore cleanliness in key parts of the district.
Drains were cleared, streets were swept, refuse dumps were evacuated, and public spaces were refreshed as participants worked together to improve the sanitation situation in their communities.

Addressing participants, the Hon. Khaari Fuseini highlighted that sanitation goes beyond a one-day exercise. He encouraged residents to adopt responsible waste disposal practices and make cleanliness a continuous priority in their homes, markets, and workplaces.
He further stressed that maintaining a clean environment reduces the risk of diseases and contributes to the overall development and attractiveness of the district.
The exercise demonstrated the power of community spirit and collective responsibility, as residents showed strong commitment toward building a cleaner and healthier Sene West.

The District Assembly once again called on all citizens to support sanitation initiatives and ensure that the progress made is sustained long after National Sanitation Day.
