General Assembly Meeting 2024

The General Assembly Meeting on August 15, 2024, marked an important step in fostering effective governance and community engagement. The presiding member guided the agenda, ensuring that the meeting flowed smoothly and stayed focused on key discussions.

Hon. John Nyarba, the District Chief Executive, was present as the meeting began with an impactful opening speech. His support was instrumental in advancing the assembly’s objectives. Also in attendance was the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Braimah Sakuru, whose leadership and insights greatly enriched the discussions.

During the meeting, members presented and discussed the Executive Committee Report, which was subsequently approved by the assembly. Members present were encouraged to participate actively, given the opportunity to voice their opinions and ask questions.

The assembly also reviewed and approved the Community Resource Management Area by-laws and constitution. The presiding member facilitated this discussion, prompting input from members and summarising key points to ensure clarity and consensus.

This collaborative atmosphere, fostered by the presiding member’s leadership and the contributions of the DCE and DCD, resulted in a successful meeting outcome, with members actively engaging in the process.
