The Department of Agriculture conducted training sessions to address the challenges faced by farmers in soybean cultivation, particularly among female farmers in the district. The objective was to promote soybean production and increase income for women farmers sustainably. A total of 111 participants, predominantly female, attended the sessions held across various locations. The training employed group discussions and demonstrations, covering topics such as site selection, seed treatment, planting techniques, weed control, harvesting, and uses of soybean. Participants showed keen interest and willingness to apply the knowledge gained, indicating a positive impact of the training. The department emphasized the importance of farmers putting the learned techniques into practice. In conclusion, the training sessions ended with encouragement from extension officers for farmers to adopt soybean cultivation, highlighting its potential to increase income due to a ready market.
