38TH NATIONAL FARMERS’ DAY CELEBRATION – SENE WEST DISTRICT

The Sene West District has celebrated the 38th National Farmers’ Day with a colorful ceremony at the district capital, Kwame Danso. The celebration was held to recognize and reward the hard work and contributions of farmers in the district to the growth and development of the agriculture sector in the country.

The celebration was attended by the District Chief Executive, traditional leaders, farmers, and other stakeholders in the district. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Accelerating Agricultural Development Through Value addition.”

During the celebration, awards were presented to deserving farmers in various categories, including Best Farmer, Best Livestock Farmer, and Best Yam Farmer. The winners received prizes, including farm machinery, certificates, and other farm inputs, to support their farming activities.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. John Nyarba in his address, commended the farmers for their hard work and contributions to the development of the agriculture sector in the district. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting agriculture through various interventions, including the Planting for Food and Jobs program and the provision of subsidized inputs to farmers.

The traditional leaders also commended the farmers for their hard work and contributions to the development of the district. They encouraged them to adopt modern farming practices and technologies to increase their productivity and income.

The farmers expressed their appreciation to the district assembly and the government for the support and recognition given to them. They pledged to continue working hard to improve their farming activities and contribute to the development of the agriculture sector in the district
